About Us
We’re a team of high-quality engineers with years of experience in water control instrumentation and practical, on-site, hands-on engineering. Over the years, we’ve listened to the needs of the quarrying industry and shaped our work to suit them — delivering reliable solutions that range from accurate discharge monitoring and reports to dust suppression and washdown systems, pumping systems, flowmeters, telemetry, and pipework.
Whether it’s installing a new system, crunching discharge data and producing thorough reports, or getting muddy in a trench repairing a pipe, we approach every job with the same focus: doing it properly, to a high standard, and always tailored to our customers’ needs.
We’re proud to work with some of the biggest names in the quarrying industry, including Heidelberg Materials, Tarmac, Ibstock Brick, and BMI, and we’re always looking to expand into other quarrying companies. But our expertise isn’t limited to quarries — our experience has taken us to a wide range of sites, from engineering factories to within the water industry. Wherever we’re needed, we bring the same mix of technical skill and practical, on-site know-how.

From Wesley Davis-James - Director:
When I look through our website and think about everything we do, I feel really proud of what Liquid Control Systems has become. We started out doing one thing in one part of the country, and over time it’s grown into all sorts of work across the UK.
What’s made that possible is a mix of things: a hands-on electro-mechanical mindset, a friendly rapport with our customers, and a simple willingness to help them out with whatever they need. That’s opened a lot of doors for us, and more importantly, it’s helped a lot of sites keep their water systems running — often with a positive knock-on effect for the environment too. To me, that’s a winning combination.
One of my favorite parts of this journey is the relationships I’ve built along the way. We don’t just deliver a product and disappear — we stick around, get to know our customers, and work with them as their needs change. Over time, those working relationships often turn into real friendships. Honestly, I’d happily go to the pub with most of my customers — and I think that says a lot about how we do things, and how Liquid Control Systems has become part of the furniture on our customers’ sites.
I’m also really proud of our engineers, our knowledgeable and helpful suppliers, and the wider team who keep Liquid Control Systems ticking. They’re a hardworking bunch, each with their own skills, and together they make it all possible.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve started — growing where it makes sense, adapting to new challenges, and always finding better ways to support our customers and the environment. The challenges around water systems and sustainability aren’t going anywhere, but that’s exactly why we’re here. We’ll keep showing up, doing good work, and supporting our customers with their liquid control systems.
